Reminiscing in the 'Rain - Where Did They Go?

I asked a question today on the Q&A.  I ask questions most days - sometimes more than one question on the same day.

 

Today's question was "Whatever happened to Russel Ray? At one time he was #1 on the leaderboard. Now - nothing remains except for a few comments embedded in posts by others. Enquiring minds want to know!"

 

I didn't expect the responses I received.  Apparently I managed to drag up a "historical" problem in the 'Rain - and - as is not uncommon, those who witnessed it have slightly different perspectives.

 

There are many others who were at one time #1 on the Leaderboard.  

 

Some still with us, some silent for years.  

 

Who would YOU like to see back in the 'Rain that has been silent for a while?
