Here it is. The last Thursday before Christmas Eve. I've been busy delivering gifts and calendars to clients and pretty much getting into the spirit of Christmas. This lawn decoration at a client's home made me smile.
I've shopped till I just about dropped and still have wrapping and baking left to do. Oh, and food shopping as I'm cooking both Christmas Eve and Christmas day.
While the holidays are always hectic, it's fun seeing everyone that I visit (if I'm lucky enough to catch them home) and I'm looking forward to getting our tree and decorating it. Max always helps me decorate the cookies, so that's something to look forward to as well.
I spent the morning when I should have been working, wrapping, baking, or otherwise doing something that needed to get done, laughing along with friends on Facebook. If ever I was thankful for something, aside from the political ugliness that's been going on, it's that no matter what, I can get on the computer and share a few laughs with friends. I have some of the funniest friends in the world and they know who they are. Witty, sarcastic, killer smart but also kind, considerate, warm and some feel like family. Some, I've never met in person and they still feel like family. We share laughs but also tears and they lift me up and vice versa and I'm very grateful to all of them.
Wishing you a wonderful week of holiday preparations, or if you've just celebrated Hanukkah, I wish you a restful week of reminiscing.
Carpe Diem!
These are Italain lemon cookies.
