Roseville California is a grand city in the greater Sacramento CA area. It has an approximate population of 127,035 as of 2013 and per Wikipedia, "it's the largest city in Placer County, California, United States, located in the Sacramento metropolitan area."
I like to tell people that here in Roseville CA we get to enjoy "small town living with big city conveniences!" And that goes double for all the fun seasonal and holiday activities we enjoy here. Including lovely Christmas trees and decorations throughout our delightful town.
Those trees start at our Downtown Square. Nowadays, we get to enjoy a ginormous Christmas tree in the Historic Old Downtown Square that is usually up throughout the Thanksgiving and Christmas season. (Barring extreme weather issues, of course.) It has cute boxes decorated as gifts underneath - sturdy enough they don't get blown if we have a windy, rainy storm. My favorite is this cute snowman box. (I don't actually like cold snow other than playing a fast game of snowballs with my grandkids occasionally - but I DO love snowmen pictures. :) Fortunately, here in Roseville, that's primarily (or only) the kind of snow we enjoy!
We also get to enjoy a Tree Grove of lovely smaller Christmas trees, decorated in a variety of ways by local businesses, schools, and organizations.
We have fun tree lightings for each - the huge tree and the Tree Grove trees and there are all sorts of fun holiday things to do in Roseville that are included in these seasonal events such as making Christmas crafts, yummy food, great music, and more. The Tree Grove usually only stays up for about 2 weeks due to weather. Their tree lighting and activities were the first week of December and they are gone now, until next year. But our big tree is still there. And thanks to the wonders of iPhones, cameras, and photos, there are plenty of pictures around for us to continue to enjoy all the trees, including right here.
Above is a video I created for you to enjoy. And below is a fun Smilebox of even more photos with the Christmas song, "A Holly Jolly Christmas" to accompany it as you look.
Of course, this is only the beginning of Christmas trees joys in the Roseville CA area each year. There are many MANY homes, schools, businesses, shopping centers (you should see the gorgeous trees at the Westfield Galleria and The Fountains) and churches, like Bayside Church
with even MORE delightful trees and other Christmas decorations for us all to enjoy. Yet another reason I love the holidays here in Roseville CA - including those from Thanksgiving through Christmas and on to the New Year. Tis a delightful season indeed! Merry Christmas, y'all! :)
