When I was in the sheet metal manufacturing business my clients would place an order for whatever they needed and we would deliver it. I never had one of them call me to ask "what does your schedule look like?"
I have yet to call the grocer to see if they have groceries before I go shopping. Maybe I'm missing something. I'll call Baskin Robbins and see if they have my flavor before I go have some ice cream.
How about if I call my Realtor and say something like "I'm thinking about buying a house, what does your schedule look like?", then keep asking for other days till they say no, that wouldn't be convenient. Is that so I can say, I'll find another source then?
I have one client that calls me to see what my schedule looks like, I say "wide open, when do you want me out there?", no answer, "I'm also open every day next week, what do you need?" ... only to find they don't have an accepted offer yet nor do they know when they might have the accepted offer. What the... ? Then he asked "how about this weekend? Like he was looking for a time I couldn't do it for some reason.
I started writing this post as a draft on 12/21/2015 and I'm getting back to it on 2/3/2016 and low and behold that lender still hasn't placed an order. That proves my point, he didn't need to know myschedule and knowing my schedule didn't make any difference in his. I still don't know what city that project was located.
HUD designed what we do to take two weeks, we take about a week to do what we do so we have a week to schedule but we still shedule within a day or two and write the report.
Maybe we should call them when I get request for a loan and ask, "what is your schedule like?, Do you have time for another loan?" If they say yes, I'll say "can you take a loan application on Saturday", Maybe keep asking for a time till they say "no that wouldn't be convenient." I mean is that a legitimate question?
LOL 4/14/2016 - well it finally happened, After I left for the day yesterday someone placed an order on my website at 9:30 am and chose 3 pm the same day for their inspection. Holy cow
