5 Inexpensive Things to do in Rancho Cucamonga, CA

It is that time of year again!  The kids are out of school, underfoot and need to be entertained with fun activities. A major issue for most families this time of year is that the holidays are already stretching their budgets to the limit and there just isn’t much economic fuel left in the tank.

If this is you, don’t despair. There are plenty of things to do in Rancho Cucamonga that won’t break the bank, leaving you and your kids with smiles and memories to cherish.

Here are 5 of our favorite things to do in Rancho Cucamonga on a budget.

1. Pump it Up

11966 Jack Benny Dr, (909) 466-0806

Most people may only think of ‘Pump it Up’ as a place to have their little one’s birthday party, however you may want to reconsider. They have Open Jump events all week, as well as special Holiday Jumps and Glow Jump Parties. Their entry fees only run 8-9 dollars per child, depending on the event. It is a great way for smaller kids to burn off all that youthful energy and have some fun!

2. The Purple Easel

For those that want to try something a little different or expose their kids to art, The Purple Easel provides a wonderfully relaxing experience for the entire family. They provide all the art supplies that are needed and you are free to bring in your own food and drinks. The cost is $20 per seat during the holidays and they have special Kids Paint events on their calendar. Visit their website to learn more about the special events occurring.

3. Victoria Gardens

Victoria Gardens is more than just a place to shop. It offers an open air atmosphere, great food, an arcade, a carousel and even a kiddy train. It is perfect for parents needing to keep little ones busy, while they do some last minute shopping. It is definitely a “must go to” location.

4. RC Epicenter

It is hard to say what may be happening at on any given day at the Rancho Cucamonga Epicenter, but you can be sure something is. RC Epicenter is the home to events ranging from ball games and concerts to car shows and movies filming. The good news is many of these events are free to the public. Check out their site for the calendar events.

5. North Etiwanda Preserve

It is well maintained and the views are simply beautiful and inspiring.
