Insanity? No, It's Just CHRISTMAS!!!

So...

In my having been so stupid busy this past month, I failed to realize one thing: Christmas is TOMORROW.  Normaly that wouldn't be THAT big a deal, except for one thing:  I DIDN'T GO SHOPPING!!!!!

I have work to do.  I'm now trying to bargain with the alarm clock.  As I do so, I remember what happened LAST year...  I worked til 6, went to head out shopping, and as I got to each store, they were DARK.  As in, CLOSED.  As panic ensued, I realized I was SCREWED.  Off to CVS I went, PRAYING they'd have cool stuff like they usually do, swearing I'd never do THAT again...

Fast forward to this morning.  I didn't wake up til 10:30, had 2 showings set for 12.  Ok, I'll set out to the mall as soon as I'm done.  Now the ride to the mall is a straight ride down the Black Horse Pike, a highway with 2 lanes on each side.  BUMPER TO BUMPER.  After taking 20 minutes to go 2 blocks, I made PROBABLY the most illegal u turn ever.  I headed the other way to a strip mall shopping center.  Their parking lot was as bad as the highway.  I resigned myself to the task at hand and headed to Walmart.

When I tell you it was an ANIMAL house, OMG.  The shelves were 3/4 bare at 2pm..  People were fighting over the last hot cocoa and mug set, and I mean all out FIGHTING.  Insanity?  Nope, it's just Christmas.  I foraged for clothes and sizes I needed.  I got done fairly quick, and was on overload, so I headed for the registers.

I got on what I THOUGHT was the fastest moving line.  As I see only 5 sets of people ahead of me, I figure I'm ok.  We're so tight on the line, we're on top of each other.  As some RUDE teens, 5 of them, shove me and my cart to go across me, where are they going???  To the guy next in line at the register!  Them, and all their STUFF.  The Dad got on line with his 2 items, let them shop and added alllllllllll of their stuff onto his bill.  Normally, this wouldn't be THAT bad, BUT...  His credit card declined.  And he gets on the phone trying to get the card company.

I was on line for, are you ready?  An hour and five minutes.  Yep, I know, I brought it upon myself.  But, I met a super nice couple and a woman wearing a Christmas sweater and a string of flashing bulbs around her neck, lol!  It made the wait more bearable.  After this, I SWEAR (again) that I will NOT wait til day before Christmas to shop EVER again...
