How to Sell Your Home with Great Listing Copy - What would it be like to live in this house? What made the owners fall in love with the home? Is there a history or special story to tell? 

Entice your reader to jump in the car and come take a look! Great listing remarks may make the difference between a listing sitting on the market, and a buyer running to see the home, falling in love, and buying! How far is this home to the nearest Starbucks? Fitness Center? Great Shopping? Fine Dining? Walkable features? 

Creating great listing copy is just as important as using great photos when selling Real Estate! Here are some key points to consider:

  1. Make the listing stand out.
  2. What makes this home special? 
  3. Why should a Buyer take a look at this home?
  4. Don't oversell - remember to be truthful
  5. Entice the reader
  6. What would it be like to live in this house?
  7. Create a 'Call to Action"
  8. Avoid overused words
  9. Talk about the Location.
  10. What makes this neighborhood great
  11. Smalltown feel - historic area
  12. Walkability Factors

Don't forget to point out the special and unique features of the home or property that buyers would want to know.  You want to grab the right buyers attention.

Many Copywriters also suggest using more of a story telling technique and to avoid using just a string of facts.  They also suggest avoiding  overused words like luxury, beautiful, gorgeous, etc.  Listing just the facts like the number  of bedrooms, baths, is important but may not be enough to entice the reader to jump in the car and come take a look, and ultimately that is what you want.  Create a Call to Action.

How far is this home to the nearest Starbucks, Fitness Center? Great Shopping? Walkability Factors? How far is this home to the nearest airport, medical facilities.  Is this a gated community? These are all important to buyers.  Information that buyers want to know.  Make it easy for them to zero in on this home.
