This is my entry for Debbie Laity 's Invitation (Year 2) who asked us to share a picture, tell us about the picture and why we selected this scene that has something to do with the Christmas holiday.
I selected three pictures - two connected with my real estate activities in the days before Christmas, and one from our home decoration.
Christmas Lights in a Home in Casa Fiesta Subdivision in Tempe, AZ.
The last 3-4 years I started walking neighborhoods where I have listings or are close to my home. This gives me an opportunity to feel the neighborhood better, to connect with people I have not met before, or to reconnect with the ones I had met in previous years. My Christmas greeting is usually a calendar with inspirational quotes or with home improvement photos. A lot of us still use good old-fashioned paper calendars. Often times our neighbors greet me with a smile, and say: "Oh, there you are. I was looking for my calendar this year." They often invite me to see their home for the holidays. It is so enjoyable to see the beauty and thoughtfulness they had put into the creation of a festive mood in their homes.
Welcoming Entrance Door Decoration in the Vintage Subdivision in Scottsdale, AZ.
The centerpiece for our Christmas table is a pine-tree branch and sprigs, which I picked up from the pile of stuff to be discarded from a Christmas tree lot. They have the wonderful pine scent that makes me think of snow, a path among pine trees and Christmas.
