I'm Sooo Tired!

Real Estate Blog Post Motivation

My best friend and her family moved to North Carolina! Reunited for the holidays. We are at #Crush, our local Wine Bar in Waukesha! It's Monday, December 28th! I am back in the office. I'm looking for some real estate blog motivation!

Last week wore me to the bones. First a 20 hour round-trip drive to western Minnesota for my Uncle's funeral Monday, Tuesday and Wed. Then shop, clean, wrap and prep for company Thursday and Friday. Then start over for a FABULOUS all-day get together with my best friend and her family back from Charlotte for a Christmas visit. Then Sunday off to the in-laws for the day.

Sorry, Baby Jesus, but you wore me out big time!

The office actually looks like a vacation today!! The bad part is that I can't just sit here! I have lots to do! I am expected to get back to work! BIG SIGH! Oh Well!

I think there are a few times of the year when everyone gets the "getting back to work" doldrums. The holidays can really kick my behind and this year have left me bony! But excited because since we had guests, the office is spotless! It's clean and full of potential in every way!

I am excited to write my first blog today because I wanted to remind you that your clients really never go "on vacation" from you. You may think they are on holiday during this time of year, but they typically have some spare time and if you have something worthy to share, they may just find it and read it.

Here are 5 Real Estate Blog Topics for Right Now:

  1. Why you should sell in Winter
  2. What you need to prepare to sell in Winter
  3. Current off-season Market
  4. Interest Rates and Buying or Selling in Winter
  5. Contractors Need Work in Winter...Get a Deal!

Not to pat myself on the back too hard, but I'm feeling this was a great post considering how tired I am! Not to pat myself on the back too hard, but I'm feeling this was a great post considering how tired I am!

Want more topics? Use Google. Inman always has great topics. REALTOR.com can usually come up with one or two good ones too!

This is "just" the beginning. Think about what it is that is holding your buyers and sellers back and then write your Real Estate Blog around that subject.

Spread your topics over a longer period of time on your Real Estate Blog to get more mileage from the topic.

Speaking of more mileage...break the topic into two posts. Create a follow up real estate blog post to lengthen the mileage or add additional information. Don't forget to refer to the first part of the post so folks go back and re-read your info.

We have so much GREAT information floating around in our heads and forget that that same information may just be helpful to someone reading your real estate blog.

On another note, I hope you all had a safe wonderful Christmas and holiday! Let's get back on that computer and type into a profitable New Year!

, it is so easy for the holidays to damper your work load, let alone a funeral to attend!  Yes, it is time for motivation, again!!  Smile and get back at it.

Sorry about your uncle.

Getting back to work and finding topics to blog on can be rough.  I use the RISMedia ones and the state association ones on a regular basis for my site.  Speaking of which, I need to go check my blog post importer.

Importing blogs is fine just to get something there, but search engines look for original content. It's okay to use any and every source to get ideas, but put your own spin on it. Write your own blog from what you have read. Too many syndicated posts and the search engines begin to think your site is not strong enough to be considered by the engines. The idea is to bring it and add your own je ne sais quoi to the whole thing!

By the way, thank you to everyone who sent their sympathies for my Uncle. He served in Vietnam and was one of the lucky guys who came home with a brain and all  his parts. Your sympathy means a lot.

Blessings to you all.

It's so hard to get motivated when the kids are off from school and at home. Thanks for the great blog ideas. That should get me off and rolling, I hope.

Blogging is my newest niche. I don't want to be focusing on so many listings and leads and whatever else it is I do. I enjoy blogging. I can find a million topics to write about and as long as I can keep doing it and making money, I will. Heck, I do my own blogging even though it doesn't always make me money!

Kathy Goldman - Thanks for your post.  I do not have a scarcity of ideas for blog posts but there are days when my creative energy has bottomed out and I just fail to be productive.
