46TH Annual Frisco Colorado Gold Rush
Saturday, January 9, 2016-Join Frisco Colorado with traditional Nordic ski races and spontaneous combustion! There will be a community bonfire and fireworks as well. 3K 10K and 20K races are offered. 6 to 8 pm bonfire with fireworks right at 8 pm.

Join us for the 46th Annual Frisco Gold Rush. Gold Rush is the longest running Nordic event in Colorado, and consists of classic and skate races open to skiers of all ages and abilities. Gold Rush is where the past and present come together to celebrate our historical mining heritage and embrace our snowy Nordic culture.
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:
9:00 a.m. – 20k Skate Ski Start
9:30 a.m. – 10k Open (Classic & Skate Ski) Mass Start
10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. – CHSAA High School Races
12:00 p.m. – 3k Fun Ski (Classic & Skate Ski)
Race Fees: Race registration is currently open; Register now!
Registration Fee – prices valid through noon on Friday, January 8, 2016; 20k skate $40/adult, $35/youth, 10k skate/classic $35/adult, $30/youth and 5k fun ski $20/adult, $15/youth.
Day-of Registration Fee– day-of registration fees will have a $5 increase to the prices listed above.
Pre-Registration: Visit www.activityreg.com register online, call or stop by the Frisco Adventure Park Day Lodge to register in-person; 970-668-2558 or 621 Recreation Way, Frisco. Pre-Registration closes at noon on Friday, January 8th, 2016.
Day of Registration: will take place from 7:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. on the morning of the race at the Frisco Adventure Park Day Lodge (just across the street from the Frisco Nordic Center).
Bib Pick-Up: Bib pick-up will be available from 7:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 9th at the Frisco Adventure Park Day Lodge.
Racer Gift: All racers will receive a commemorative Frisco Gold Rush racer gift.
Awards: Overall: The top 3 male/female finishers in each race will receive a prize (overall winners are not eligible for age category prizes)
Age Category Winners: A prize will be given to the first place winner in each of the following age categories: 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
Post Race Party: The post race party will take place at the Frisco Nordic Center; light refreshments, awards and giveways will take place.
Racer Responsibility: You are running this race at your own risk. You will encounter mountain terrain. You could encounter hazardous weather or wildlife during this race. The race director reserves the right to cancel, delay or postpone the race due to inclement weather. There are no refunds available.
Skiing with Music: If you choose to wear headphones during the race, we ask that you remove one ear bud. It is important that all racers can hear what is going on around them. Racers must be respectful of other trail users.
Beneficiary: A portion of race proceeds go to the Summit Nordic Ski Club.

At 6:00 p.m. the bonfire fueled by recycled Christmas trees will be lit on the corner of Marina Road and Highway 9. Food and beverage sales will be available
and proceeds will benefit the Summit Nordic Ski Club.
