Happy New Year from Columbia Gorge FSBO.
In January 2010, Columbia Gorge FSBO began assisting FSBO sellers in marketing their Columbia Gorge region property. Our six year anniversary is just a few short days away. At that time we stated “Our objective is to help our community by empowering property owners to take control of their own real estate transactions and the resulting monetary savings they will realize.”
Many successful FSBO sales, ranging from small condos to almost million dollar homes as well as land, have been completed utilizing Columbia Gorge FSBO’s marketing strategies. Sellers have been appreciative of our services and reasonable marketing costs. In addition, sellers have saved hundreds of thousands of dollars in commissions. We have been successful in meeting the stated objective since 2010. We intend to continue to do so.
We appreciate the trust our clients have shown in Columbia Gorge FSBO to market their home, typically the largest asset in their financial portfolio.
Quite often, our clients have provided positive feedback, thanking us for our services as well as referring friends and neighbors. However, we have also had feedback on areas where we can improve. More specifically, some clients asked for more in-depth analysis and services requiring a real estate license.
Due to client feedback, Mel obtained his Oregon Real Estate License. This means he will be able to assist FSBO clients in a much wider range of services to more fully meet their needs in selling or buying property. (Note – he is also in the process of obtaining his Washington Real Estate license).
As we enter the new year, in 2016, Columbia Gorge FSBO will continue to offer FSBO marketing to FSBO sellers, with our clients also being able to access to licensed real estate brokerage services.
The commitment is to offer alternative solutions to meet your specific real estate needs. There are more choices available than either FSBO or traditional commission based real estate. Mel will listen to your needs and in collaboration with the client develop a customer driven solution, not a cookie cutter one. In doing so, he will continue to offer clients reasonable costs to meet their real estate needs. The licensed real estate services will be provided by Mel’s new company, Alternative Solutions Real Estate, which has affiliated with Kelly Right Real Estate of Portland. Mel is a licensed Realtor, with National Association of Realtors and Mid Columbia Association of Realtors membership.
Besides providing Columbia Gorge FSBO’s historical FSBO marketing, the following services will now be available through Alternative Solutions Real Estate/Kelly Right Real Estate:
