Hmm, this is tough when you don't take others' content or try to get other ideas from other people (which yes I confess I am guilty of).
I went to this great NetParty last week (any of you ever went?)
It's a great event in different parts of the country. It is pretty much business to business. I met maybe 5 real estate agents and maybe 2-3 loan officers. I primarily met accounting people, insurance people, engineers of all types, and some in human resources or corporate benefits. I thought this is great, I can network with all these people get their business cards, make friends with them and maybe get some business from them. I even met someone who I haven't seen in OVER a year. I also met people who are property managers, met 4-5 purchase/refi potential clients, and even met someone who buys apartment complexes. It was great. Everyone needs to check it out. The website is:
Young professionals under 30 networking together! I even got another invite to a Johnny Walker event for May 10th. I hope you guys get involved. I was really surprised I could walk up to someone and say Hi, My name is Jennifer Butz, what's your name? It was amazing of the responses. I wish I could do that out in public everywhere I go! I need to wear my badge "I sell Money" everyday of the week because you just never know who will ask about it.
