It feels strange to me when people tell me they're retiring. Now that my kids are gone, the work has become an important part of my life. Good luck to you. Stay in touch. We'd love to hear about your adventures.

Congratulations Richard and I have to say I am a little envious. I have a day like that in mind in teh future and have many items on my to do list that just can't be done while working real estate seven days a week. Enjoy life to the fullest.

Richard, you look much to young to retire, but I understand retirement doesn't mean you are drawing social security and sitting around.  Glad to hear you will be doing the things you couldn't while actively listing and selling real estate! I wish you the best in whatever you do!

Few real estate agents "retire". Good for you to have the fortitude to make a clean break in order to do all the things you've always wanted to spend your time on. Or the things you never got to do. We all look forward to seeing what they are. Have a great 2016.

I hope you stay in the mix on ActiveRain.... it's totally different when you don't need to address work issues.... I've been retired from the real estate business for 10 years, but I just can't break away.... so I made adjustments.... I blog....
