Nasher Sculpture Center First Saturday - Free Admission

Real Estate Agent with United Real Estate Dallas TREC# 0544069

Nasher Sculpture GardenSpend the first Saturday in 2016 enjoying the Nasher Sculpture Center's First Saturday activities. Target sponsors this free event held the first Saturday of every month. Activities for the entire family are scheduled from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Children love the Art Scavenger Hunt. Instructions for the hunt are available at the table located in the Lobby. Participants hunt for specific sculptures in the Sculpture Garden. Children can team up with parents, siblings, or friends to help them identify the sculptures. This is a wonderful introduction to many types of sculpture located in the Nasher Garden.

Artists Demonstrations will be held between 10:00 AM and 12:30 PM. It's fun for the children to see the demonstrations before heading to the Sculpture Garden.

The entire family is invited to join a Nasher Sculpture Center Tour. Guides are available near the front desk. The tours are generally about 15 minutes long, in order to hold the interest of all participants. Learn about the history of the Nasher Collection and some of the individual sculptures. Tours are available from 10:15 AM to 12:15 PM.

Storytime is always a popular activity with younger children. The Dallas Public Library will be on hand to delight visitors with an art related story, at 12:30 PM.

Nasher Cafe prepares meals for adults and children between 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM. Contact the Cafe for the cost of the meals.

Klyde Warren ParkKlyde Warren Park is located to the north of the Nasher Sculpture Center. Relish, a kiosk restaurant, serves hot dogs and hamburgers. Food trucks will be located on the street between the Nasher and the park, between 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM.

Parking is available in the underground Dallas Arts District Parking Lot. There is also street parking in the area around the park.
