Joyce Marsh this is a very interesting post.  I agree baby boomers are looking for these features.  The biggest request I hear from baby boomers is no steps.  Nice blog.

Joyce Marsh We have a very large baby boomer population here in Delray and Boynton Beach.  99% of the homes are single story, which goes along with exactly what your post says.  Great post and Happy New Year!

My parents built such a home 4 years ago. There were several changes I suggested to their plans as they went along like the doorways and hall width. They are so pleased with the the changes. And while they didn't go with a ramp, it would be easy enough to install one.

Thank you everyone for all of your comments.  I am seeing more and more requests from seniors for homes that are either all one level or with an elevator.
