If you've been on the fence about buying a home,
this may be the year to take the plunge...
Mortgage rates have been bouncing around record lows, but even though they're starting to go up, you haven't missed your chance.
If you've been on the fence about buying a home, 2016 is the year to take the plunge according to CNN Money and Kathryn Vasel in her December 4, 2015 article on CNNMoney.com titled "4 Reasons 2016 is the year to buy a home"
1. Home prices will finally calm down
Prices will continue to rise, but are expected to rise at a slower pace, giving buyers an
opportunity to jump in.
2. More Homes are expected to hit the market
More owners are expected to list their homes, and the new home market is also expected to grow in the coming year which will boost inventory levels.
3. Dirt Cheap Mortgages Could Disappear
The Fed is expencted to begin increasing interest rates which means the window for record low mortgage rates is closing in.
4. Rents will still Rise
Rent prices are expected to continue to climb in 2016, which means buying a home will be cheaper than renting.
