Very interesting "Town Hall" with Dr. Ben Carson
Just got back home to my computer to post some photos of a "Town Hall" here in my home town in Staten Island, New York.
Dr. Ben Carson spoke to about 400 people here tonight and took some questions from those in attendance.
He was very well received. The event was at the Staten Island Hilton Nicotra's Ballroom.
When Ben Carson took on Barack Hussein Obama at "the National Prayer Breakfast" I was greatly impressed. The man is not only a surgical genius; he is extremely articulate, very conservative.
But... when I found out that Dr. Carson belonged to the SDA Cult, I was heartbroken. Anybody who adheres to the belief that if I don't go to "church" on Saturday, I will go to Hell, is not my candidate.
That must have been an exciting event Kenneth, thanks for sharing this as soon ad you got home.

Thanks for the great question, so I will attempt to answer it.
#1. He is VERY concerned with the national debt. I agree it's not fair to burden the next generation with this, also if it continues to grow, which it seems it will, too much of our money will be spent on "managing" it.
#2. What I did not agree with is his income tax rate plan. I believe that a tax on earned income is regressive. Why would I work longer and harder to benefit less? I would prefer a consumption tax, if you don't spend, you don't pay. If you have extra money and prefer to spend some of it then you have the money to pay. Seems fair to me.
He also said that some people who don't pay taxes have the power to tell the people who do pay taxes how much they should pay. Does not seem fair to me. So that I would agree with.

I don't believe that I agree 100% with anyone or any organization, so I would think that that would also apply to what Dr. Carson thinks. Did he actually say that about going to hell? If you have the link please share it with us.
