Tuesday Travelogue--January 5th

First virtual Tuesday Trip of the Year for 2016!!

Welcome to the ongoing weekly series called Tuesday Travelogue. We are in our 75th week!  Each week, some ActiveRain bloggers are spotlighted to take us somewhere we may not have been on some kind of virtual travel (and it doesn't cost a dime!). Here is the purpose:

 to enjoy the ride"

"take a trip without even leaving the farm"

"expand your horizons"

"see through someone else's eyes"

  and hopefully much more!

I so badly want to travel outside of the US! I have a husband who isn't the least bit interested in doing that, so I must do it virtually (for the present!) so, let's see where we can virtually drop by around the world!

First stop: British Columbia January 1st, 2010! MacKenzie Beach near Tofino. Check out the views from this resort that Jo-Anne Smith stayed in!

Mackenzie Beach, Tofino, British Columbia

You craving some color? How about Mexico? Second Best Country for Expats! Let Thomas Lloyd tell you all about it.

How about a visit to an incredible church in Quebec? Notre-Dame Basilica--let's visit with Laura Cerrano on her recent trip.

It's off to Ecuador! For those FEW of you who didn't get to travel with the Greenbergs--Dick and Mary recently (through their amazing photographic blogs), they went on a phenomenal trip (I'm SO jealous, but enough about metaking us to some fascinating wildlife areas outside of our US borders. This is just one of their many trips I look forward to highlighting in future Tuesday Travelogues.

 Bald Eagle & Falconer

If you are traveling the world (or just some cool place that you want to share with us), please be sure and join Travellers in the Rain group so that I can find your fantastic voyage and share it on a future Tuesday Travelogue.

Please don't forget to comment on these blog posts and I hope that you enjoyed all of these virtual travels.

Gayle,

What a great tour on this lovely rainy stormy Tuesday...no more raindance for us...we got out during the 'sun' break for a few errands which turned out to be very magical, and lunch.  Looks like the rain is starting again!  Yippee!  A

I do agree with you husband and try to avoid the border guards, for some reason I am always the guy who has the truck full of gear that they want to explore and ask 50 thousand dumb questions about.

But I do appreciate a trip to visit our neigbors to the north so I am so happy to join you on this virtual visit, and so happy to not seen any mounties ready to search my truck this time.

Sharon Lee any of these pulling at you to add to your own travel itinerary??

Dick Greenberg you offer up so many good ones, that I could feature you for weeks...

Paul S. Henderson, Realtor, Broker, Tacoma Washington sometimes I don't either! And that's part of the fun of putting this together.

Well Ed Silva there's only so many trips to NV that you can take and then you HAVE to venture out....

Bob Crane oh, I know that one! got in trouble with my parents once, because I was too honest when we were going through from Canada to NY with a whole load of stuff we bought. Can't remember what I said, but they wanted to kill me!!

Endre Barath, Jr.  sadly, I have only had one passport in my life, waaaaaaaay back in '89 or '92, I think or something like that. It's long gone. I will travel with my sister once she and I get done with the "work years"....or her kids move to Europe--that may happen a lot sooner than the first one!

Troy Erickson you bring up such a good point! I am always finding wayward AR members who used to post and then disappeared. I had one gal whose boss saw a Tuesday Travelogue where I had featured her localism post and he was really excited! I think she mentioned it in a comment that day.

Roy Kelley you are most welcome and I have bookmarked your recent trip to the museum.

The colors of Mexico are absolutely beautiful.  George and I are actually going to a resort for 6 days in Tulum at the end of February- snorkeling and lots of interesting ruins to explore.  I hope that the streets look as beautiful and bucolic as this photo Gayle.
