Fun Things to Do in OKC and Great Places to Eat!

Okay my Active Rain Friends...here's what I have on tap to do and explore in January 2016 for some fun and relaxation here in Oklahoma City, OK!

I learn SO MUCH when I take clients out for buyer's tours on homes for sale around here...if you ever get a chance to visit, drop by RE/MAX Preferred Properties in OKC and we can have some lunch at one of these special finds in the OKC fun and dining scene!

• Oklahoma City Home and Garden Show: This is an amazing fun time here in OKC. Located at the State Fair Park, 333 Gordon Cooper Blvd, you’ll want to drop by January 15-17. Admission is a piddling $10! You can find many more details at www.oklahomacityhomeshow.com and I’ll see you there!

• Love Food? How about Cheese and Wine?: The best way to my heart is through my stomach. I feel that many share that weakness! If you’re in Norman, Oklahoma in January 2016, then come on by and find out why I really like this event. Located at Forward Foods 2001 West Main Street in Norman, Oklahoma. Learn more about this fun event at www.forwardfoods.com. This class is named Winter Cheese and Wine and I think you’ll be forgetting to WHINE when you sip on the WINE!

• Oklahoma City Museum of Art: This is really nice. Known as Drop In Art, you’ll be working with art supplies and colorful types of artwork. It’s FREE! You’ll love Oklahoma City Museum of Art here in Downtown Oklahoma City, OK. Be there at 1pm, January 9th and check more details at www.okcmoa.com.

Favorite Foodie Updates in our wonderful OKC area?

• Cheever’s Cafe: I highly recommend this one because it’s so perfectly located. Discovered it while taking home buyer clients on a tour of properties in OKC. I’m more into veggies and salads and they know how to please a healthy palate, but my clients explored the chicken-fried steak with..are you ready for this…. jalapeno gravy! This restaurant will offer you much to talk about when you delight in the creativity of the chef there! Located at 2409 North Hudson Avenue in Oklahoma City...it’s a real special find in culinary delights in OKC!

• Bobo’s Chicken: Located at 1812 NE 23rd Street...you will want to drop by for one of the specials that many have told me totally rock. Deep Fried Chicken Wings covered in sweet rich honey and you can make it crispy, salty, sweet and chewy. OKC really has expanded the FUN cuisine scene in Oklahoma City!

• Grand House: Located in the Asian District on Classen Blvd and close to 23rd Street...don’t miss the Saturday Dim Sum. Brunch Dim Sum is something you don’t want to miss. The friendly staff will be pushing carts loaded with delights for your mouth. Dumplings, rice, noodles, clever stuffed buns and something I have yet to summon the courage to try..Chicken Feet! So much fun at Grand House and the address is 2701 North Classen Blvd in Oklahoma City, OK.
