Cupertino Mayor Barry Chang Challenges Area Teens to “Solve the Streets” in Video Contest

Tired of sitting in traffic, want to help solve Silicon Valley congestion or just have great ideas on how to “solve the streets” problems? Teens aged 13 to 19 are invited to submit a 5-10 minute video with innovative solutions that answer specific Cupertino and Santa Clara County traffic issues. Winning entries are eligible for mayoral recognition and cash prizes.
Mayor Barry Chang challenges all teens ages 13 – 19 to take a spin as a policy maker and:
A) Analyze the current Silicon Valley traffic situation
B) Research effective ways to improve Silicon Valley traffic
C) Create a 5 to 10 minute video proposing an innovative yet realistic solution that can improve transportation in the Silicon Valley.
TIMELINE
- Contest Deadline to Enter: Sunday, January 17th 2016 @ 11:59 pm PST
ELIGIBILITY
- This contest is open to anyone ages 13 – 19.
PRIZES
- 1st place – $300
- 2nd place – $200
- 3rd place – $100The top three scoring projects will also receive special recognition by Cupertino Mayor Barry Chang during an award ceremony.
Deadline to Enter is 11:59 pm on Sunday, January 17, 2016
