Several people still ask if they should list their home in the winter. We vote yes on the Diane Beck Team. Winter in Montana is sometimes brutal. The sun goes down at 5:00pm sharp and the temperature rarely peaks over a bitter 30 degrees. When there are active buyers in this bitter cold you know they are serious. They are waiting for the perfect home to hit the market and what if it is yours? Also, there is rarely a very high inventory at the beginning of the year. You are the most competitive you will be in your market and if the timing is right you might get the highest possible price for your home. However, you will still be moving in the cold. I say it might just be worth it.
That being said, Diane listens and analyzes each clients' situation. No transaction is ever the same and sometimes waiting until the spring to list is her best advise.
