Stowe, Vermont Land Sales - Market Report - 2007 through 2015
Stowe Vermont Land Sales were significantly down in 2015 when compared to 2014.
I have found that the demand for land to purchase is very much affected by the the single family market trends. When homes are selling for less than "the normal", the demand for land purchases is reduced. Also, the cost to carry land by the current owners it not nearly as high as home owners. Land owners, for the most part, just have to keep up with property taxes. Once the real estate market becomes more balanced, the demand for land to build one's dream home will pick back up again. The new homes will incorparate the demand for higher energy efficient homes.
