It Looks Like You Have Had Termites

The signs of termites were clear. The droppings, tunneled wood studs were classic indications of a termite infestation. The good news?... They were not active at this time. It is not clear why the activity stopped but it did. So what do you do now?

This is by far the worst looking picture I have seen in recent years. I have seen racoon stare at me and I was crawling away as fast as I can.  Do you want me to share the experience with skunk?

Tom, looks that they do have some issues to take care of. Good to know they will have someone to take care of them.

The real proof was the lick test.  How did it taste?

I think Fred has it.  Or maybe insulation-eating tigers.

Either way.

What DO you do? Go hunting for them, or just fix their damage?

And... what is the difference between termites and carpenter ants? My family's cabin at the lake had carpenter ants that turned 2' glu-lam beams into honeycombs. You could reach up and pull out a handful of beam. But everyone says we don't have termites in N. Idaho.

It costs me a lot when "they were here" happened at my office and there was zero actual damage or repair.  Just new treatment

Good morning Tom.  Replace and get an expert in to access the damage and certify there are no more.  Third thing get a policy on the place.
