Disneyland - The Happiest Place On Earth - Military Discounts

I love to write about Disneyland. I grew up in Southern California and vividly remember the times I spent as a child going to Disneyland. I remember barely being able to sleep the night before and waking up that morning thinking "I get to go to Disneyland TODAY!!!!"

In my day (doesn't that make me sound old?) we had ticket books and jealously guarded the "E" tickets.

Today, this magical kingdom is more popular than ever. Each year, millions of people from all over the world come to Anaheim, California to visit Mickey and his friends. With the addition of California Adventure and several new hotels and resorts, Anaheim is now a destination vacation.

Visiting Disneyland can be a very expensive proposition, but if you plan ahead, you can take advantage of some of the special promotions they offer throughout the year. One of these is their Miliary Discount for active service members and their families.

The Military Discount Tickets are sold ONLY on military bases, so you need to purchase ahead of time.

The 2016 Military Discount Tickets are a real savings over the regular price. Currently they are advertising $143 for 3-day Park Hopper Tickets. That means you can visit both parks on each day of your visit. (Current pricing for a 3-day park hopper is $275/ticket)

Disneyland is celebrating it's 60th Birthday and it's dressed for the occasion. Miss the crowds by visiting in the winter months...sunny days (well, El Nino is hanging around) and small lines.

Even if you are not a Military Service Member, there are Special Offers throughout the year which offer discounts on admission and hotel visits. If you are a local resident, you can also check out the variety of Annual Passes.

Hello and thanks for letting us know this, I have a young couple with service time and were just asking my how much it would be to go there.  Now I know what to tell them.

Hi Karen Fiddler, Broker/Owner - I mirror your sentiments growing up in SoCal. Disneyland. E Tickets and all.  One time we were in Club 33 and Tom Hanks and his family were sitting right near us! No cell phones for pics in those days.  I am glad to see that there are good discounts for military.  I had 3 very close friends who worked there and now a nephew.  It is a wonderful company to work for. Xmas was my favorite time to go. As Bob Hope would say "Thanks for the memories"!

Karen,
I grew up just minutes away from Disneyland. Then I worked there. But to this day I don’t sleep well the night before we go because I’m afraid we’ll oversleep and not be there early enough. It is a magical place.

it's only an hour and a half away and always makes one last minute trip for the family.  Unfortuantely 2 of my 3 mouseketeers are getting "bored" with longer than a two day stay.

Wow tickets have gotten pricey since my last last visit.  Loved to take the kids.

Hi Karen, even though I've never been to any Disney park, I'll remember to put it on my list of places to visit the next time I'm in California. Thanks for sharing.
