Roney Palace is one of those Miami Beach luxury condos that doesn’t have to be in your face all the time to be successful. Maybe that’s because it’s been around since 1926. Considering Miami Beach was incorporated in 1915, it’s safe to say that Roney Palace is part of the city’s backbone. (It’s not “old” either though; the building got a total makeover in 2000.)
Perhaps because the building isn’t constantly in the limelight is why it has several beautiful penthouses for sale all below $2.5 million. Another good reason is because they’re small: The biggest penthouse unit for sale right now is only 1,230 square feet, and the largest unit for sale isn’t even a penthouse. It’s on the eighth floor.
Even so, these condos are beautiful. Many have marble floors, and they all have a view of the ocean from their glass-railed balconies. Often it’s the master bedroom that features the best view. How would you like to wake up to the Atlantic Ocean every day? Aside from the scenery, the kitchens are my favorite part. Most of them are updated with stainless steel appliances and granite or marble countertops.
To pick out a few of my favorites: I’d say unit 1606, a unit just below penthouse level with bamboo flooring going for $2.495 million, tops my list. It has 16-foot ceilings, which is unusual for such a historic building. After that is unit 809, the largest unit for sale. And then PH21, a relatively small penthouse, but it’s super cozy, and the decor is amazing. Plus, the asking price is only $1.3 million. So they’re basically giving it away.
