Dog Parks in Boca Raton FL

DOGS LIKE TO HAVE FUN

Once you're settled into your pet friendly condo in Boca Raton, Highland Beach FL, you may want to take your furry friend for some fun and exercise and what better place to do that than our local dog parks.  Boca Raton has two dog parks:  Mizner Bark, which is located central, and Canine Cove, which is out west.

MIZNER BARK

pet friendly homes Boca Raton FLMizner Bark, appropriately named as everything in Boca is named either Mizner or Addison after Addison Mizner, the famed architect and visionary who was instrumental in our history.

Mizner Bark is centrally located on Military Trail and Banyan and is great for those who live east in Boca or Highland Beach or in central Boca Raton.

Dogs are allowed off lease here with benches for mom and dad to watch.  There are three gated areas; for dogs over 50 lbs, for medium-sized dogs 20-50 lbs and and one for the little guys under 20 lbs.

Facilities at Mizner Bark include water fountains, wash stations, doggie bags for waste, trash cans, no smoking and handicap access.  A permit is required.   All dogs must be on leash when entering and exiting the park.

Hours of Operations at Mizner Bark are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 7:30 am until dusk and Wednesday from Noon until dusk.

CANINE COVE

Canine Cove at Burt Aaronson South County Regional Park is more convenient for those people who live in west Boca Raton or west Delray Beach.  South County Regional Park is located at 12551 Glades Road, west of SR 441.  You may enter the park from either Glades or Yamato Roads (it's a big park!)

Hours of Operation at Canine Cove are as follows: Sunrise to Sunset. Closed on Wednesdays from 12:00 noon to 3:00 pm for maintenance.

IN SUMMARY

After a day of frolicking, fun, exercise and making new friends, your dog will thank you.  After all, they moved to Boca too!

Elyse immediately ‘got’ us

We found Elyse on-line after working with another realtor that was not helping us find what we wanted. Elyse immediately ‘got’ us and showed us the right properties while providing encyclopedic knowledge of neighborhoods, dog restrictions, lifestyle options and benefits/trade offs between one house/neighborhood and the other. Elyse consistently provided important information at every stage of our process. As out-of-towners this was essential to our making the right decision. We couldn’t be happier or more grateful to Elyse for everything she’s done. Elyse is a rare combination of being a true subject matter expert and, more importantly, a genuinely caring person who looks after her people.

Great localism post, Elyse. Charlotte has added a number of dog parks in recent years and I've written about them in the past. Your post reminded me that I probably should update my old posts.

Elyse,  I cannot imagine living anywhere that is not pet friendly.  You mentioned there are place that do not allow dogs.  That boggles my mind. Mizner Bark and Canine Cove are two wonderful dog parks that offer many comforts for dogs and their human friends.

Kathleen Daniels Me either!  There are many places here that do not allow pets at all.  In fact one of the first posts I wrote was about a dog who was 3 lbs overweight.  You'll enjoy this one from 2009 Does 3 lbs of dog really matter in Boynton Beach?

Roy Kelley That's nice to hear.  I think they're gaining in popularity around the country as dogs have proven to be such good companions and therapy for people.
