Dog Parks in Boca Raton FL
DOGS LIKE TO HAVE FUN
Once you're settled into your pet friendly condo in Boca Raton, Highland Beach FL, you may want to take your furry friend for some fun and exercise and what better place to do that than our local dog parks. Boca Raton has two dog parks: Mizner Bark, which is located central, and Canine Cove, which is out west.
MIZNER BARK
Mizner Bark, appropriately named as everything in Boca is named either Mizner or Addison after Addison Mizner, the famed architect and visionary who was instrumental in our history.
Mizner Bark is centrally located on Military Trail and Banyan and is great for those who live east in Boca or Highland Beach or in central Boca Raton.
Dogs are allowed off lease here with benches for mom and dad to watch. There are three gated areas; for dogs over 50 lbs, for medium-sized dogs 20-50 lbs and and one for the little guys under 20 lbs.
Facilities at Mizner Bark include water fountains, wash stations, doggie bags for waste, trash cans, no smoking and handicap access. A permit is required. All dogs must be on leash when entering and exiting the park.
Hours of Operations at Mizner Bark are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 7:30 am until dusk and Wednesday from Noon until dusk.
CANINE COVE
Canine Cove at Burt Aaronson South County Regional Park is more convenient for those people who live in west Boca Raton or west Delray Beach. South County Regional Park is located at 12551 Glades Road, west of SR 441. You may enter the park from either Glades or Yamato Roads (it's a big park!)
Canine Cove features two large dog sections, one medium section and one small dog section.
Facilities include three gazebos, three drinking fountains, Dogipot Pet Stations, shaded benches, nearby parking and pet washing stations large enough to accommodate two dogs and parking. Please read dog park rules here.
Hours of Operation at Canine Cove are as follows: Sunrise to Sunset. Closed on Wednesdays from 12:00 noon to 3:00 pm for maintenance.
