A price reduction on your home might just be the thing to do to get your home sold.  Your home has been on the market for some time.  You have listed it will several agents during the period without reducing the price.  The feedback about the price came in many forms however you still refused to budge.

Why consider a price reduction on your home?

You are annoyed with  the agents because you can’t move on  with your life without getting the house sold.

After several visits to the State where you would like to make your next home, you  found your dream house and it will be just that, a dream.   It could be a reality if only you could sell your existing home.

Here is a news flash - Selling your home is not something the agent can pull off without your assistance. No amount of marketing will get a home sold if it is overpriced.    You are the only one with the power to adjust the price to reflect the market.

  • The home has been on the market for a long time. Did you know that pricing is a major factor that a home fails to sell?
  • Homebuyers do not care about what you think your home is worth, they will only pay attention to true value in the present market.
  • Getting your sold faster would probably help you find a home for less and at a lower interest rate.
  • After the recent Fed action, interest rates will start heading up which means that buying in your desired destination will likely cost you more now than if you had reduced the price on your existing home months ago to get it sold sooner.

Holding out for a few extra dollars could prove costly as the months tick by.  Now, do you see the value in reducing the price?  You will get the home sold and you can get started on your new life.

Jennifer good advice.  The sales price and location are the two most important components in my opinion when it comes to selling a house.  You can't do anything about the location so a price reduction is what is needed if the house is not selling.
