New year referrals

So here we are in the January duldrums, and I can't say I feel it.  My business has not stopped.  Only because I was working in Novemeber and December.  Here we are in January and I am getting calls from other agents to work referrals with, past clients and friends and reletives from clients.  It really is a great year so far.   I have set a goal this year for referrals, and I am certainly going to stick with it.  By making those goals, you have something to shoot for and stays top of mind.  

I also started rewarding those agents with a little gift, when they send me a referral.  Just a small journal to write in, so that they remember me.  

I also started coaching this year and that is helping as well.   

What are your best referral do's and dont's that you are going to commit to this year?

Do: Thank the referral with a little gift. 

Don't: forget to keep the agent UPDATED on the referral they sent. A little email saying the client is under contract and then again through inspections, and of course closing, goes a long way.
