RVA is a hip, trendy city so of course it has it's own cult-following like donuts. With a name like Sugar Shack, you can take a pretty good guess that they have the best donuts in Richmond VA before you even take a bite. Then once you try it, you KNOW.

This first donut here is a Mardi Gras special. It is a King Cake Donut. It is a fluffy yeast donut with cinnamon custard filling, vanilla icing, and green/purple sugar. If you like a touch of cinnamon, this donut is AMAZING.
The second donut shown is menu regular: An OREO donut. I will wait while you return from your childhood memories...Three, Two, One...You are back! This features a yeast donut with vanilla icing (you can select a chocolate icing, if you wish) with OREO crumbles and CHUNKS, then drizzled with chocolate. OMG! Do I really need to go on?
Cheaper By The...1/2 Dozen?
Nah. These Sugar Shack donuts are in high demand so they command a slightly higher price than your run-of-the-mill Dunkin' Donuts and many times you are limited to just 1/2 dozen per customer, depending on the time of day. So, if you are trying to treat your co-workers, you best order in advance and even then there is a limit on the amount you can purchase. No matter, Sugar Shack has the best donuts in Richmond VA and they are worth the wait!
