How exciting, the Boston Seaport is attracting the likes of General Electric for their corporate headquarters. It has been announced that the 8th largest corporation in the United States will
be moving it's corporate headquarters from Conneticut to the Seaport in Boston, Massachusetts.
GE Chairman and CEO, Jeff Inmelt was quoted in the Boston Globe as saying:
"We want to be at the center of an ecosystem that shares our aspirations. Greater Boston is home to 55 colleges and universities. Massachusetts spends more on research & development than any other region in the world, and Boston attracts a diverse, technologically-fluent workforce focused on solving challenges for the world."
Along with Boston Mayor Marty Walsh who said this is an "exciting time", we other Bostonians are feeling the excitement too. This is a big move for a large corporation having the vision to move to our beautiful Seaport District.
This certainly backs up the blog I posted on January 8, 2016 "Is Tech Driving the hottest markets in 2015?". In this article I detailed the Redfin report recently released which stated Boston had FOUR out of the top TEN hottest marketplaces which appear to be in the hottest
for review those areas in the Greater Boston vicinity being driven by the TECH SCENES:
1. Inman Square
6. Spring Hills, Somerville
For those interested in investing in this area or relocating to a hot job market, please reach out to me, I would be most pleased to help you navigate this marketplace. Boston and Massachusetts is a great place to LIVE!
