Ask an Ambassador: why do I need to Niche Blog?
This blog by Tammy Lankford is so informative about Niche Blogging. She has had great success with Niche Blogging and has shared her success with us here on Active Rain. I have chosen to reblog because it was so helpful and inspiring to me.
I know you've heard "jack of all trades, master of none". That's how an agent can feel when they don't focus on something. When you find that part of the business you love and connect with clients on, you need to put your focus there. For me, it's all about Lake Sinclair.
I love the water and I love the lifestyle of living in the laid back lake community I live in. I blog about other things as well, but my focus is very lake centric. And to help that "focus" be all in one place I use an outside blog here at ActiveRain. You won't find my ask an ambassador posts, my family posts, my personal throwback Thursday posts on my outside blog. My outside blog is Lake Sinclair Central.
I sometimes get another result with the very same post from it also being on my outside blog. I follow my Google Analytics closely and I get referrals every week from my outside blog as well as here at ActiveRain. So when you find your niche and focus there, I highly recommend getting those posts on your own site if you have a WP blog or getting an outside blog at ActiveRain. Having a very focused niche blog that a client is likely to find with great concentrated information is key to showing potential clients you know your stuff.
