It only floods when it rains!

The last rains were very welcome in our dry state, lake levels have started to move up a bit. There is also the deferred maintenance that become evident after such rainfalls: gutters overflowing, leaking windows, and poor drainage are a few.

This drainage problem was brought to my attention recently, they told me it only happens when it rains. That makes sense to me but let's find the problem and fix it so that people can use the walkways when the rains come. Surely there is a drain grate somewhere nearby.

True. That should not be the result of every rain event.

Tom - I find the comment, "It only floods when it rains" pretty amusing. When else would it flood, when it's sunny and dry?

Good morning tom.  Like you indicated there has got to be a drain somewhere in the area.  Hope you find it.

There hasn't been many opportunities for that much water accumulation in your area for quite some time. I'm sure it's a welcome sight even though now there are some negative aspects to all that water.

Tom Arstingstall, General Contractor, Dry Rot, Water Damage Sacramento, El Dorado County - (916) 765-5366 - that looks like a LAKE. Canadian Geese will stop there during the migration north! All in all, it fabulous to get some rain finally in California. But all at once?

That looks like a lake to me in their front yard. I agree with Hella. Where are the ducks and geese?

Ack! That looks like a real problem, Tom!

I know that people are often 'out of sight, out of mind' but you'd think they would have done something about this by now... wow

Well, as the water lowered, we could look for the missing drain. It took a little while but there had been a large drain that had been covered with dirt for some time. Things a flowing normally today.
