Listing your home can be challenging enough in the Spring but when the Winter hits, it can be daunting. But, there are a few things you can do to make the process easier for buyers.

1. Shovel, shovel, and shovel!

Yes, please make sure you shovel all walk ways that lead to your door. You may even want to lay a thin layer of sand down to provide some traction for walking on snowy or icy days.

2.  Add Color!

Because it is hard to have plants welcoming you at the front door,  you can place a wreath at the door to add a spot of color on dreary days and it also will set the tone for the showing.

3.  Let them feel the heat!

Have the fire going and/or have the heat turned up so  buyers instantly feel the warmeth in the house. The buyers will be sure to take their time in your warm home looking around than facing the cold air outside.

4. Let there be light!

Winter days can be dark and gloomy even in the middle of the day.  So, help potential buyers see the light. Open all blinds and pull the curtains back to let in the sun's rays.  And, have all overhead lights and lamps on in the house.

Happy Selling! Get your home sold in the Winter before more competition hits the market!!
