Katy Contemporary Arts Museum - Good Place to Visit

Katy Contemporary Arts Museum (KCAM) offers to the public several different services including various classes such as Drawing, Painting, Photography, etc.( fees are charged); Fresh  Greens on Friday’s which mixes art with healthy eating and socializing , attendees will enjoy a healthy lunch. Of course there is a fee for lunch. ; art exhibits of local artists work; Art in the Park at Central Green Park in LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch; Art Studio sale; and several other things. It is physically located in Old or Historic Katy almost directly across from the Katy Railroad Park And Tourist Center.

This Museum was established during 2013 and is a not-for -profit 501(c)(3) organization which dedicates itself to the arts and promoting local artists and from the State of Texas. KCAM aims to engage the public and encourages all folks to gain a greater understanding and appreciation of contemporary art.  

Admission to the museum itself is FREE for members and $2 for all other folks other than children under 5 years old who are admitted without charge. Memberships are available. The Museum is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays with normal operations on Wednesday thru Saturday and hours from 10 AM until 6 PM and on Sunday Noon until 6 PM. The museum is closed on Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving Day and on Christmas and  New Year’s Day.   

I have written about their various activities for some time now and I plan to continue in the future. I took art lessons as a child but the teacher told my mom there is hope for Bob!
