Driving briskly along a narrow road, sticking to the pavement on every turn. The road rises suddenly toward the sky and the horizon is a deep blue with wispy clouds. Suddenly the car dives and in
distance there is a fork leaving questions to the destination, checking my GPS, the left climbs higher above right and is overgrown at first appearance, and less traveled. The left is plotted with more curves. Although taking the left artery would get to the same point, it will take a while longer, so the right fork is the destination most sought and the left is less traveled.
Bearing right at an even higher rate of speed, the sight of the large pothole ahead was only realized after both right side tires exploded on impact. With only one spare in the trunk, a large amount of time will be wasted waiting for the roadside assistance truck to tow the vehicle to a tire store to get back on the way. Time and money wasted.
In hindsight it is better to take the high road, the journey less traveled. It will save you time, money and aggrivation.
