Yesterday, on my 40 minute drive out the ‘Boro, I grabbed my phone and let my ‘fimmers’ do the walking across the digital key pad and reached out to Michael Thacker. After breaking the ice, literally and physically, and chatting about the ‘impending doom’ weather forecast for our respective areas, like most men, we broke all the taboos and talked about what is really important, religion, politics and whatever!
Michael and I both share a lot in common when it comes to architecture as we both love older buildings. No, they are not perfect but, they were built to last. Michael told me several stories about the ills that properties the management company he used to work for rehabbed. Yes, I can attest to the ills of Dryvit.
Michael is a true professional who hangs his license with a large independent brokerage and really loves what he does. Like many parts of the country, the Louisville market is lacks good, qualified inventory, hence his biggest challenge.
Michael is smart, witty and quick to laugh even at my wry, “British” humor quips. My only regret is that Michael is in a different market area as I would love to get to know him on a more personal basis. One of these days, I will take the trip to Louisville as I have been intrigued by the old buildings I saw through my repeated trips through the area. Perhaps, Michael would be willing to take the time to give me a personal tour and show me, ‘His Town’!
