If you own a Cisco router, switch, firewall, and other device andyou want to be able to able to configure the router at the command prompt level, then you need to get you hands on a console cable and you are in business. If you do not have the 9 pin plug-in on the back (or sometimes the front) then you can also get your hands on the USB converter. Diablo Cable is also a good source for CAT5 and CAT6 cable if you are ever in the need. I can tell you that as much as I travel, I can never have enough of this as I am always leaving mine somewhere.
