Thank you so much for posting this.  I missed the original and am glad to be able to listen.  As I listen, I'm wondering if Kerrie is coming back from her maternity leave.  We all really miss her a lot.

I loved the conversation about the local writing, something that I'm planning to do a lot more of.  I think it's going to be an exciting year in the Rain!

ActiveRain Real Estate Network - now that everything is hosted on AWS, I am sure the space and speed will not be a challenge.

I had a request - and a suggestion during the live call I attended - will it be possible to host the videos 'within' ActiveRain network?

Localism is a good idea - as long as it is under ActiveRain. The separate site may dilute the Google Juice for ActiveRain (though my understanding is, Localism.com will have about 4000 members only - and not 300,000 like ActiveRain. Will it replace Outside Blog?)

Lot of good information  Noce to meet You too David.. I like the localism ideas and am going to really particiapte in that...  I didnt quite catch the curb.com or curve.com that Ben Kinney  Mentioned checking out... I googled both of those and dont think I have it right.

Active Rain can become a real go to place for the real estate industry and  once the plans and ideas you have all come together... and teach us more on how to create good content! I really look forward to that!

I was on the call for this, and it's enticing to see some of the old come back, and to see some new horizons being opened up.  Maybe it was wishful thinking, but I thought I heard RainCamp may yet come back too.  It's almost like Woodstock, for those who went, it was great; for the rest of the people they don't understand.

With regards to the localism angle, now I understand Bob's post about niche-blogging.

Praful Thakkar the 300,000 number is misleading.  A much smaller number activiely contibute (maybe 1000-2000?).

Also, they consulted SEO experts that know way more than we do, so I'm sure this is well thought out.

Also, I'll point out that focus in each area will be better for users and ultimately, as a result, better for SEO.

I really like what I am hearing about the state of Active Rain, and the plans for the future. Separating out professional (essentially business to business) content from Localism (consumer) content I think is a huge step in the right direction. I also love that you are re-igniting Active Rain University, and want to make it the source for real estate training no matter where you are from, and who you work for.

I missed this in January, so I'm glad it was recorded. It explains some of the changes I've noticed. As I work on my blogging strategy, it is nice to know the overall Active Rain vision with the three different buckets. Again, thanks for keeping us updated.
