Delray Beach- Sending Some Sun Up North!

It has been raining all day in Delray Beach but you will get no complaints from me. At least, it’s warm and as long as you have floaties on your car, you can traverse the streets!

If you did not have the opportunity to attend the ActiveRain State of the Company webinar today, it was recorded so keep your eyes open for a link to it. Or, read an excellent summary by Jon Kolsky.

“What good is the warmth of summer without the cold of winter to give it sweetness?”                      John Steinbeck

We have close friends who are in the process of moving to Tennessee near Nashville.  I texted them to see if they wanted to re-think the move! But they love where they are.

“A lot of people like snow. I find it to be an unnecessary freezing of water.”

Carl Reiner

The walks on the beach this week meant wearing sweatpants and sweatshirts.  Because it was windy, most of us walked very quickly, heads bent into the wind.

And now the promised sun…..

Kathy, those sure are some really gorgeous pictures! And nice to look at as all I see out of my window is white ice! Very pretty... but very dangerous.

Good morning Kathy Streib ,

As always a breath of fresh air in your post today! I'm sending good karma to all those who are hunkered down from the snow this weekend. Stay safe and warm out there on the East coast and look at Kathy's photos and feel warm again!! LOL!

Morning Kathy-We will be getting more today but without a doubt we already have about 10" and with the sleet it is now packed snow. It is warm inside and we have food and TP. The necessities of life. Just hope we don't lose power. I heat with electric heaters.

Good morning, Kathy -- it's a little overcast as I write this comment but at least it's not raining as predicted(yet).   Sending thoughts to those impacted by the weather -- stay safe.

Ill take some of that sun Kathy Streib , we are on the cold side of the storm so the snow will stay South which is weird to say. I tried in vain to catch a plane and tickets to Denver for the weekend for Patriots vs Broncos but the cost and flight times just did not work out. I should have put the effort into heading south.

Kathy Streib What are "floaties"?

I'm with you, cold is unnecessary in my life. I'm not moving to any place that turns white. NO MATTER WHAT.

And Carl Reiner was one of my all time favorite comedians. I particularly liked the Dick VanDyke Show.

Me too. Mom would have been home alone for several days. Not a good thing at all.

Our weather here has been pretty nice, although cloudy off and on and some ground fog at night. We've been watching the weather and the MidAtlantic and Northeast are really getting nailed - no doubt your photo will bring some cheer

I am not a snow lover and agree wholeheartedly with Carl Reiner's sentiments! LOL

At least it is warm in Delray Beach when it rains, here in Sacramento it gets cold, and when you're cold AND wet, it's very uncomfortable, which is why I'm bundled up in drawstring jogging pants and a Minnesota State Fair sweatshirt, LOL.
