Oh I remember those snow emergencies all too well from my days in the Boston area. It certainly important to know about so you can avoid ticketing  and towing. No doubt there are other emergency issues to know about, like bus and train schedules.

Ellen Caruso I wish you a safe snow storm event too in New York.  It is incredible how just 24 hours makes such a big difference in our scenery!

Stay safe!

HI Jeff, I am assuming your post is coming from sunny California.  Yes Boston does have it's winter challenges, parking being a big one!  The City of Boston does a pretty good job of trying to prepare the residents for the snow event, of course the residents themselves have to be proactive too!  Thank you for your comments, come back and visit Boston (in the springtime LOL).

I live in the North Georgia mountains and we had snow too.  About 1-2 inches plus ice.  It is not usually the snow that slows us down, but the ice.

Everyone stay safe.  It doesn't hurt any of us to stay inside a few days with a good book and a glass of wine by the fireplace!

Hi Rosemarie Heindel. I am all for that. A bit of rest and relaxation to get ready for the big spring market we have to look forward to. Stay safe during this weather season.

School is never out for the Successful.

I'm a Bostonian by birth. One thing I'll never understand about drivers in the Philadelphia area, they don't as a rule move their cars off the street in a snowstorm. Then they literally fight for the few parking spaces left.

Hi Suzanne Strickler, I live south of the city now but grew up there too!  Had a conversation with a contractor today from Boston and of course in conversation we touched on the fact that the chair or the "ash barrel" in your spot does no longer reserve it for you on the streets of Boston!
