Over 60 degrees in January - Get Outside Colorado Springs

By
Real Estate Agent with The Platinum Group Realtors

One of the best parts of Winter in Colorado are days like today where it is a beautiful sunny day, no wind and over 60 degrees outside.  Time to get outside, go for a hike, ride your bike, have brunch/lunch on th patio, grill out for dinner or just pick up a book and read outdoors.

Another fun option that occurs every year since 1995, is Manitou Springs annual fruit cake toss.  The purpose you ask, other than just something to do, is to get rid of those leftover cakes from the holidays while also raising food for the St. Andrews Food Bank. The cost is just a non-perishable food item for the food bank. So bring the kids and your fruit cake and have a lot of fun. There will be a costume contest, a fruit cake bake off, and drinks.

The event takes place on Saturday, January 30 from 1:00 to 3:00 in Memorial Park, 502 Manitou Avenue in Manitou Springs.

Kids are sure to have a lot of fun and so are you! See you there!
