With 2-3 feet of snow in the DC Metro area if a regular homeowner is house arrested what will happen if you were buying a home that is under construction?
For Northern Virginia Realtor like me who has been through these El Nino and other snow storms over past decade, this is what the outcome was:
If you are new construction home is under a roof most likely a short delay or no delay.
If a home builder in Virginia was going to break ground sometimes this week or month it may be further delayed. I remember in 2010 snow blizzard when we got hit by back to back snow storms most of the builders were behind and delivery of one my client home was delayed by 6 months. They had to hire dump trucks to remove snow from the ground before they could break the ground.
Remember your new construction home builder has 2 years to complete your home according to new construction sales contract in Virginia!
