Foreclosures Are Down In Salt Lake

Even though foreclosures are down in Salt Lake, many of our clients still search the internet for distressed property deals. 

HUD Homes, short sales in Salt Lake, (pre foreclosures) and even lists of homeowners that are behind on their mortgage payments are popular searches.

Even though less than 2 dozen listings show up as foreclosed homes there are still a big number of short sales to pick from, and some some pretty attractive buys.

Buying Salt Lake foreclosures is a little different than buying a regular MLS listing. You may be dealing with a bank, or a couple of lenders. More than likely on a bank owned property or REO you will not be provided a seller disclosure. You need someone familiar with buying from an institution and how to protect your interests.

Gordon Sloan - Great idea to list the foreclosures - Consumers can lag behind what the market is actually doing; both on the seller and buyer side depending on the trend at the time.  Everybody wants a deal and it can be frustrating if what the customer wants is not there! Have a great Sunday!
