So, you have decided to sell your house. Now what?
Interview a few real estate agents in the area. Don't be pressured into signing a listing agreement right away. Ask the agents questions like "How do you communicate with your clients?" "What happens if I am not happy with our relationship?" "How do you market my home?"
I communicate with my clients however they are most comfortable. Phone, email, in person, text, ect. I also have a communication guarantee for my clients! If I don't respond to your VM, email or text within 2hrs, I'll pay you $100.00!
Get a CMA
Also known as a comparable market analysis or comps. During your interviews with agents, they should be knowledgeable about comparable homes in the area. They should have examples to share with you of homes that have sold recently in your area. This will give you and idea of what your home might sell for. When the agent suggest a price range, he or she should be able to back that number up with comps and explain how they came up with that number. If they do not, find another agent!

Getting ready
Once you choose an agent, they will have tips for you to prepare your house to be put on the market. Some suggestions might be:
- Depersonalize and declutter
- Touch up or paint (neutral colors)
- Do a deep cleaning of your house
- Make the outside look inviting
I offer my clients a free consultation with a professional staging expert! I also use a professional photographer to showcase your house in the best light.
Once these things are complete, your house should be ready to go on the market! Get ready for those offers!
