You Never Know Where Your Next Client Will Come From in Real Estate

 

Recently I listed a ranch style patio home in Aurora.  After about 4 hours of showings, I had three offers of which two were over list price.  My seller was anxious to get his home under contract and accepted one of the three. 

 

There was no time to do property brochures (which I haven’t done for about 3 years now), but I did place an Under Contract sign on the For Sale sign immediately.  Once the inspection and appraisal were complete, I swapped the U/C for a SOLD rider.

Friday I received a call from a nice gentleman who wants to sell his condo and buy something in this particular neighborhood.  I am meeting with him tomorrow to finalize the details.  There is nothing available for him in this neighborhood currently, but I am sure something will pop up (especially once I send a SOLD postcard to the neighbors letting them know I have a buyer ready to BUY). 

 

As Realtors, we do so much marketing in hopes of attracting clients.  You never know what will make your phone ring along the way!  Who knew that my next client would come from a SOLD sign?

Hi Belinda, congratulations to you, I do like the look of your SOLD signs. You are so right, we just never know where our next buyer or seller would come from as we use more than one platform to market.

LOVE IT! What a great idea. I tried using "Too Late" on a few of my listings that were under contract last year and both riders were stolen! :(

I like your signage, Jeffrey Stevens!  Here we like to use, "LONG Gone!", as our realty company is Long Realty.  One lady even asked for that particular sign, over "Sold" - HA!

Belinda, We just never know!  We put out lots of ways for people to find us, but sometimes it's that sign call from someone driving a neighborhood that beats all the internet work we do!

Hi Belinda - Congratulations on getting that new client. Sold signs are effective and so easy, yet we see so few of them (mostly because a big-time real estate attorney here enjoys highlighting a perceived liability in using them).

I like this SOLD sign, especially with the subtle message "May I Sell Yours?" beneath. I have never liked the signs that say "Too Late". Seems kinda snarky to me.

It may be time to invest in a new style of SOLD signs in my market! You've inspired me. :)
