Good news for the Atlanta Real Estate
The numbers are in and the news is good: 2015 saw the best Atlanta real estate market in a long time.
Although the state was among the hardest hit during the housing collapse, the recently released Georgia Multiple Listing Service (GAMLS) market recap for December 2015 reflects a much improved market. The following examples reflect all residential listings sold in the 29 county Atlanta Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA).
Here is a quick snapshot of some of the other findings of the report:
The overall picture reflects significant gains in units sold as well as total sales volume in 2015 as compared to the previous year results.
The vast majority of metro Atlanta homes sales were sold in 60 days or less.
Of the southern counties, Butts, Clayton, and Douglas saw price gains that exceeded the metropolitan average for 2015.
Overall, the Atlanta GA real estate market is vibrant again, and that good news whether you are buying or selling a home.
