Recently, I returned from Houston after speaking to a great group of business professionals. The excitement in the room was contagious. Much of the same subjects came up. How do you do it Jay? How do you compete with Google; Zillow; Trulia etc. How do we get started. And many others. Now what does this all mean? If you are not appreciating your clients; your business is doomed to be gobbled up by an on line experience in the future. So How can ONE compete with Zillionaire platforms...here it is and write it down:

As I shared with the group, #674841 did not refer my last piece of business. John Matukas did. I need to appreciate that. I need for that to continue. I need to be mindful that if I do not appreciate John, then John may not refer me again. And yes John as a realtor received a 25% referral check, he received more...he received a Gratitude card and a HUGE box of brownies from me....
Wow....I light went off in the room. And yes, many of us may already know this, but how many of us have a system in place to make sure this example happens?
