Making Every Day Better As It Goes
This has been a lovely week, and for some reason, with the start of my "leaping son" blog I refreshed on Facebook, to this sunny Saturday...a feeling of well-being and joy has been uppermost.
It is interesting, that "Law of Attraction" thing. Long have I learned, and ever do I practice, to surround myself with positive, productive people. I do my best to be one myself. I think it works. I know it works better than being a "sad sack".
I remember a wonderful sermon by a dear Pastor some years ago. He talked about happiness and joy, and his interpretation and application of the two. According to him, "Happiness" is largely based on what happens to you. "Joy" is internal. Because...we all know, bad things happen to good people. To paraphrase: there are those in our sphere that whatever rainstorm comes their way, they are out splashing in bright shiny red boots making it joyful. So, "rain" happens, but we can choose "joy".
I envy those who are, and I strive always to be...a joyful person. I've found kindness and joy and positivity to be simply contagious.
Deeper into my thoughts this week came a song I've long loved. It's a love song entitled, "How Do You Keep The Music Playing" The song's last stanza goes,
"If we can try with every day to make it better as it grows
With any luck than I suppose
....The music never ends"
I think we should definitely try to make every day better as it goes.
