Tweet Your Way To Success
There are many ways to interact with people online these days. Frankly, we can reach more prospects in 1 hour wisely spent on the Internet than we ever could walking down the street or stalking people in Starbucks.
But....here is another idea!
Twitter is great...or horrible. I don't really get it. I miss the chat rooms, frankly...easier for me to follow. But, then this week, I became a convert.
I was playing around on the Web reading technology, apps and ideas. Many times I'll see a paragraph or two about engaging people on Twitter who are talking about buying a house...catch them at that moment.
Didn't interest me, frankly. I found that I spent a lot of time trying to track down the keywords, only to find they weren't really talking about that at all. But...I had another idea.
I manage a few pages on Facebook: Lake Arrowhead 365, Laguna Beach 365, Orange County Lifestyle. I do not post real estate things to these pages very often, but I do interact with people there and have seen a growth in my real estate page views.
What makes a Facebook page relevant is activity. I think it's important to not only grow members but contributing members. The more people who post their links the better (that I do approve). It makes it less of an advertising site for me and more of a community.
Where does Twitter come in?
Glad you asked. This week, I did some searching for people doing things in Lake Arrowhead. I found quite a few Tweets about locals going to places, holding plays, meeting in clubs, singing at taverns. These are the very things I want on my Facebook pages. And even if they don't have an activity to advertise or talk about...they should be checking my page for things to do. It's a local page.
So I started Tweeting these people. I've added about 30 members in just a few days just in Lake Arrowhead 365. It's a start! Now I have an audience that hopefully will continue to come back and occasionally...check out my real estate page.
