Ross Perot For President 2016
I remember my grandmother telling me she voted for Perot because she was mad at Pres. Bush (41). I asked her if she wanted Clinton to win....of course not, but she wanted to send a message.
I am hearing this a lot this election cycle too...on both sides.
On the Republican side, Trump supporters most often say they are tired of the political correctness in what we say. They love that he speaks his mind and doesn't worry about how it sounds.
On the Democratic side, Sanders supporters often tell me they like that he is calling out Wall Street and the Bankers in favor of the little people. He understands the financial needs of average people.
Ok...lots of messages here.
But is a vote a message? Maybe so! Certainly you can't sit out an election and expect to have any kind of impact...well, maybe that's not true either.
Interestingly, both sides claim that they are concerned their "guy" can win and they would never want the other side to win the Presidency. Ok...so then shouldn't you consider that in the primary?
If you're sending a message....chances are the other party is going to win. Think about it.
